Can I try out the class (Young Explorers, Foundations, Art Development) before signing up?

Parents are invited to schedule a Free Introductory Class for their child to trial the Young Explorers, Foundations, or Art Development class. This class can be scheduled when there is a permanent spot available in the requested class time.
Teachers will use this class to determine whether the program is appropriate for the student, and to assess appropriate curricular level. For students, this class serves as an opportunity to participate and then decide whether they would like to enroll.



Do I need to bring anything to the trial class?

Our class fees are inclusive of materials and a smock will also be provided for students to use during class so you do not need to bring anything else. We do recommended that your child wear clothing that you do not mind potentially staining.



Can I try out the Advanced Classes (e.g. Sketch, Adv. Materials Study, Portfolio Development) before signing up?

For our advanced classes (e.g Sketch, Adv. Materials Study, and Portfolio Development) parents are invited to pay for a single session to trial the class (before enrolling in a regular 10 week session). This class can be scheduled when there is a permanent spot available in the requested class time. Teachers will use this class to determine whether the program is appropriate for the student, and to assess appropriate curricular level. For students, this class serves as an
opportunity to participate and then decide whether they would like to enroll.

Schedule A Trial Class

Step 1: Register and Create a New Account

On the portal login page, select the “Click Here to Register” link

NOTE: Also, please make sure to check the box to receive account-related
email notifications.

Step 2: Schedule a Trial Class

After logging in, click on the Menu Icon in the upper left corner.

Select “Request a Trial/Drop-in Class” menu item

Select the Season based on your desired location

“Union City (32627 Alvarado Blvd) – Classes”, or
“Fremont (1974 Driscoll Rd) – Classes”, or
“Dublin (6715-C Dublin Blvd) – Classes” (near San Ramon)

In the Calendar, click on the Class you would like to attend as a trial, and select the Trial Date

NOTES:

(In the menu, select “View All My Classes”, to see your scheduled Trial Class. You will also receive an email reminder 1 day before your trial class.)
(Each student is only allowed one free trial class. If you have already taken a trial class in the past, please do not sign up for another trial class.)
For our Advanced Classes (e.g Sketch, Adv. Materials Study, and Portfolio Development) parents are invited to pay for a single session to trial the class (prior to enrolling in a regular 10 week session). The trial class payment may be submitted in person (cash / check) on the day of the trial class or online (via Zelle: Green Forest Art Studio, 415-595-4680).
